Job summary

Amphenol Network Solutions in Liberty Lake, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to improve assembly and test efficiencies, reduce costs, and influence product design early in the design process. The role interacts across the organization and champions Lean principles and Continuous Improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience in a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment involving sheet metal parts or components fabrication is required.
• Packaging experience is a plus
• Optical Fiber experience is a plus
• Lean Manufacturing/5S/Six Sigma experience is a plus
• Small-scale Automation and/or Robotics experience is a plus
• Strong Technical Writing skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with production personnel to meet daily objectives and drive Continuous Improvement.
• Determine optimum production processes using Lean methodologies to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Lead projects through New Product Introduction and coordinate internal manufacturing documentation.
• Generate manufacturing drawings and assembly instructions using SolidWorks and Microsoft Excel.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and provide data for process improvements.
