Job summary

MITER Brands is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I in Phoenix to support daily production operations and drive process improvements. You will work with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of experience, a bachelor’s in engineering, and familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, ERP/MES, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts.
• Experience with ERP or MES systems.
• CAD software experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing or engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production issues.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Help design and implement tooling, fixtures, and production equipment improvements.
• Collaborate with quality teams to investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.

Job DescriptionManufacturing Engineer IPay Range: $69,000 - $86,000 depending on relevant experience and qualificationsLocation: Phoenix, AZ 85034Work schedule: Primarily Monday – Friday day shift (Roughly 7:00am – 4:00pm) but flexibility required as needed & may include Saturday work for projectsThe Manufacturing Engineer I supports production operations by improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring product quality.
