Job summary

Komline is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support mechanical quality assurance, Visual Factory, and vendor quality management. Responsibilities span from creating process sheets and inspecting manufactured items to reviewing drawings and supporting fabrication on the floor.

Level II expands duties to SolidWorks and welding-related tasks, with increased floor time and responsibility for accurate releases using CAD tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • QA experience and inspection of purchased commodities.
  • Fabrication inspection experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Experience with SolidWorks.
  • Welding experience or certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Create process sheets for manufacturing and assign raw materials to items and process sheets.
  • Review engineering drawings and document changes during fabrication.
  • Conduct Factory Assurance Testing and document results.
  • Inspect purchased commodity items.
  • Work 50% on the production floor.
  • Develop flat patterns from drawings (Level II).
  • Release drawings for fabrication using AutoCAD.

The Manufacturing Engineer will assist with mechanical quality assurance, Visual Factory and vendor quality. management.

Responsibilities:
Level I
  • Create process sheets for manufacturing and assign raw materials to manufacturing items and process sheets.
  • Review and compare original mechanical engineering drawings and specifications to the built product, documenting built changes through defined processes/procedures.
  • Complete Factory Assurance Testing procedures and document results through defined process and procedures.
  • Purchased commodity item inspection.
  • 50% of the time on the production floor.
  • Review engineering drawings and develop flat patterns for custom designed engineered equipment fabricated from sheet metal and plate. (level II).
  • Review mechanical engineering drawings for accuracy prior to release for fabrications utilizing AutoCAD

  • 25% of the time on the production floor.
  • Review engineering drawings and develop flat patterns for custom designed engineered equipment fabricated from sheet metal and plate.
  • Review mechanical engineering drawings for accuracy prior to release for fabrications utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
