Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Schofield, WI to support production of hydraulic cylinders. The role offers direct hire with a global hydraulic cylinder manufacturer, and focuses on driving process improvements, quality, and throughput on the plant floor.

Responsibilities include developing manufacturing processes, leading root-cause analysis, and supporting cost-reduction initiatives. Competitive salary and full benefits are provided, with on-site duties in Schofield, WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering in a production environment.
• Experience with CNC machining, welding and/or assembly processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T, PFMEA, root-cause tools and lean manufacturing.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Hydraulics or heavy equipment manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document and improve manufacturing processes for machining, welding and assembly of hydraulic cylinders
• Create and maintain routings, work instructions, PFMEAs and control plans
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action on quality and production issues
• Support new product launches, tooling, fixtures and equipment justification
• Drive lean / continuous improvement projects to reduce scrap, cost and cycle time
• Partner with production, quality and design engineering on the floor
