Oshkosh Corporation seeks a Hydraulic Systems Engineer to lead hydraulic cylinder resourcing, redesign, validation, and production release for mobile equipment and hydraulic systems.

The role requires managing cylinder projects from scope through design approval, testing, and change release, working with internal teams, suppliers, and production. Strong hydraulic knowledge and supplier development experience are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in hydraulic systems or mobile engineering.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic cylinder design principles and performance.
• Experience with validation plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead hydraulic cylinder resourcing and redesign projects through production.
• Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and risk mitigation.
• Define requirements for hydraulic cylinders (performance, durability, environment).
• Review cylinder designs, field data, warranty history, and cost drivers.
• Prepare specifications, statements of work, and supplier RFQs.
• Collaborate with suppliers on design concepts, manufacturing, quality, and cost.
• Review supplier proposals, calculations, and design analyses; approve changes.
• Perform hydraulic, mechanical, structural, and fatigue calculations as needed.
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, manufacturability, and cost goals.
• Lead design reviews with cross‑functional teams and document actions.
• Create validation plans for proof/burst pressure, leakage, and duty cycles.
• Coordinate prototypes, testing, field validation, and supplier testing.
• Develop test procedures, instrumentation plans, and data acquisition.
