This hands-on role focuses on improving manufacturing processes for electromechanical, thermal, and refrigerant-based systems while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Engineering to drive continuous improvement across NovelAire’s manufacturing operations.**Key Responsibilities** • Design, implement, and optimize on-site manufacturing processes for HVAC, dehumidification, and thermal transfer systems. • Provide daily production-floor support by troubleshooting assembly, test, and performance issues related to mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems. • Collaborate closely with design engineering to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, serviceability, and scalability. • Develop and maintain work instructions, bills of materials, routings, and manufacturing documentation. • Specify, qualify, and support production equipment, tooling, and test fixtures used at the Baton Rouge facility. • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality, yield, cost, and delivery performance. • Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies.**Required Qualifications** • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. • 3–5 years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience in an on-site production environment. • Hands-on experience supporting electromechanical assemblies and HVAC-related production processes. • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. • Ability and willingness to work on-site in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.**Preferred Qualifications** • Experience with HVAC systems, dehumidification equipment, thermal transfer, or refrigeration cycles. • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, wiring, controls, and thermal components. • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification.**Core Competencies** • Strong analytical skills combined with a hands-on manufacturing mindset. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment. • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally on-site. • Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and driven by continuous improvement.
