Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Texas is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Senior to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, and material handling.

You will drive lean initiatives, apply automation and robotics, utilize 3D model data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and cost. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and strong problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and ability to obtain security clearance for U.S. citizenship.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance on assembly processes and equipment and support to manufacturing operators.
  • Develop and document manufacturing processes for electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and improve yields through automation and tooling improvements.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer Senior you will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions that enhanceassembly efficiency and product quality.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Providing technical guidance on various assembly processes and equipment and support to manufacturingoperators
  • Developing, implementing, and documenting manufacturing processes for electronic and electromechanicalassemblies
  • Utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and improve production yields through automation,tooling improvements, process redesign, etc.
  • Defining operations procedures, production standards, and build sequences to drive operational excellence
  • Developing statistical process control approaches and integrating reporting and data analytics solutions
  • This position requires the ability to support up to 10% of overtime annually as required to support programneeds. This position may also require periodic weekend support.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field or Master's Degree.
  • Position requires the ability to support up to 10% of overtime annually as required to support program needs.
Desired Skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $63400.00 - $117800.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
