Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a manufacturing engineer to optimize processes and apply data-driven analysis to manufacturing of electrical/mechanical pressure sensing devices. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality and design teams onsite to deliver robust processes and efficient production.

The role emphasizes SPC, SAP/Creo usage, and cost-saving technology implementations in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Onsite work is required at West BLDG, Burnsville location.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree or equivalent experience or 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Plans and executes process optimization and design of experiments to improve manufacturing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; understands SPC fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production documentation and routings for each process.
• Learn operation and programming of assigned equipment.
• Identify defects and implement mitigations to improve quality.
• Use metrology tools and SPC data to drive improvements.
• Develop and implement cost saving projects and process changes.
• Guide engineering on design concepts to optimize equipment usage.
