Job summary

DuPont, a global leader in essential innovations, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at the Copley site to design, implement, and optimize discrete-part manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with safety, quality, supply chain, TS&D, maintenance, and other sites to meet production goals and support new product introductions.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, strong problem-solving and leadership abilities, and experience with Process Safety Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Strong written and spoken communication; computer literacy.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, develop, coach and mentor others.
• Experience with Process Safety Management concepts and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development and production trials, helping transition new products and process improvements into manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment, partnering with operations teams to improve safety, quality, cost, and overall plant performance.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for process technology, equipment, controls, and engineering documentation such as P&IDs.
• Lead and support continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and reliability initiatives to improve equipment and process performance.
• Participate in capital projects, from planning through implementation and execution.
• Support process safety and risk management, including MOC, PSSR, job risk assessments, and other site safety requirements.
• Develop and improve SOPs, maintenance procedures, and operating documentation to ensure consistent and reliable manufacturing operations.
• Identify and lead energy reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities across the site.
• Provide technical coaching and mentoring to operations employees and engineering interns.
