Job summary

DuPont’s Valley View site is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a discrete-parts plant, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with Operations, QA, and R&D to meet standards and customer specs, lead capital projects, and drive efficient production methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Polymer Engineering (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience in thermoset and thermoplastic molding preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex process issues using data-driven analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities with DuPont Core Values in mind.
• Provide daily technical support to Operations including process optimization and troubleshooting.
• Assist with implementing solutions to improve yield, uptime, and capacity.
• Provide technical leadership for plant capital projects including design and commissioning.
• Collaborate with production management to improve manufacturing performance.
• Coordinate with Commercial and Quality teams on inquiries and quality events.
• Interface with Technology and Business resources to drive innovations and rollouts.
