Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes. The role partners with design teams to refine products, improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and ensure reliable production.

You will develop BOMs and routings, support process development, evaluate materials, collaborate with shop teams, and maintain production standards and engineering documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with tooling design.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo, and Mastercam.
• At least one year of experience with resistance welding.
• Experience with hot and cold forming, heat treatment, precision machining, and CNC machine programming.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data to develop cost structures, BOMs, routings and item masters.
• Create and maintain BOMs and manufacturing routings in BPCS.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for BOMs, routings, ECNs, product development and material standards.
• Develop routings for current and new products and support process development.
• Provide design support that meets customer requirements while aligning with cost-effective manufacturing.
• Research materials and suppliers to identify suitable solutions.
• Collaborate on new process development initiatives and support plant teams.
• Maintain close working relationships with shop and materials teams to resolve issues.
• Review installations for ergonomic improvements and optimize processes.
• Match products to existing processes to maximize capital equipment usage.
• Develop and maintain production standards and engineering documentation.
