Job summary

Northern Manufacturing is seeking an engineering professional to help translate customer prints into manufacturable, efficient, and profitable production plans. This role focuses on determining how parts can be manufactured with quality and cost control across the shop floor.

You will collaborate between customer drawings, CAD models, and manufacturing operations, identifying issues early and guiding projects to timely, accurate completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2-3 years of experience in an engineering role preferred.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• 3D CAD experience required and ability to read blueprints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify manufacturability issues from customer drawings and CAD models.
• Develop practical solutions to manufacture parts accurately, efficiently, and profitably.
• Lead or participate in projects and process improvements.
• Communicate technical information clearly to the production team.
