Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Company is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Controls Engineer to design, build, and program manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for our organization.

How You Will Help
- Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs.
- Create plans using computer‑assisted engineering and design software.
- Confirm system and component capabilities by designing testing methods and properties.
- Analyze customer requirements and develop electrical products through research and testing of manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
- Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling sprinkler components.
- Program robots and drives.
- Provide production support to analyze and suggest solutions.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Proficiently manage network data transfer methodologies for PLC data collection.
- Design, install, and maintain manufacturing execution systems.
- Ensure product quality by designing electrical testing methods and analyzing data.
- Ensure projects meet electrical safety regulations per NEC codes.
- Collaborate with outside vendors regarding equipment ordering, etc.
- Develop quotations for new machinery for capital budget projects.
- Manage capital projects from inception to final turnover to production.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues with machinery using PLC software and tools to check hardware issues.
- Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks safely and thoughtfully, complying with all rules and procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
- Perform other duties as directed.
What You Will Bring
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of PLC software (ladder logic), vision systems, and motor drives.
- Proficiency in design techniques, tools, principles, and engineering technology.
- Working knowledge of general manufacturing assembly equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCad, Access, PLC programming, drive software, and HMI programming.
- Knowledge of data collection concepts and data storage and retrieval.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with and working knowledge of manufacturing execution systems.
