Job summary

MPI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a well-equipped, regulated precision manufacturing environment. The role combines CNC programming, process optimisation, and commercial support to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-precision components.

You will work with engineering, production, and commercial teams, develop CAM programmes, lead quotations, analyse costs, and promote Lean/Six Sigma initiatives while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC machining and CNC programming.
  • Hands-on experience with CAM software such as Mastercam or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixture design.
  • Experience preparing quotations, cost analysis, or production planning activities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience within precision manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct workflow studies, process analysis, and efficiency improvement projects
  • Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and manufacturing solutions
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver customer requirements
