Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Pro-E, or SolidWorks.
• Hands-on knowledge of CNC tools, programming, controls.
• Familiarity with cutting tools, fixturing, and work-holding.
• Experience in manufacturing process development and review.
• Strong lean manufacturing knowledge and problem-solving.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to business/production unit.
• Develop, evaluate, design and improve manufacturing methods, materials and tooling.
• Analyze and design layout of equipment and workspace for efficiency.
• Confer with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods.
• Quote internal and external business opportunities.
• Consult with vendors to determine specs and purchase equipment, materials, or parts.
• Estimate production times and costs for management decisions.
• Collaborate with management to facilitate production processes.
• Apply statistical methods to improve process capability.
