Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in Indiana. This role focuses on safety, quality, efficiency, throughput, and cost while providing hands-on support to production operations.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams, apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, and perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing or test engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with robotics, PLCs, automation, or vision systems.
  • Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis, and process troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of SPC, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and other quality tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to improve quality, efficiency, and uptime.
  • Ensure products meet engineering specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve processes and manufacturability.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, defects, downtime, and costs.
  • Analyze process data and perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support new product launches, process validation, and PPAP activities.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, process flows, and work instructions.
  • Support automation technologies, including robotics, PLCs, and vision systems.
  • Train production personnel on processes, equipment, and best practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
