Job summary

SOC LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support CNC programming and floor operations in a high‑throughput machining environment. This contract position requires an active Secret Clearance and hands‑on collaboration with machinists on the shop floor to meet hardware specifications.

The role involves developing and optimizing CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines, applying tooling knowledge, and driving improvements in throughput, quality, safety, and overall manufacturing

Qualifications

• Hands‑on CNC programming and optimization on a manufacturing floor.
• Experience with CNC mills and lathes and 3-, 4-, and 5‑axis machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with machinists on the production floor to improve efficiencies and train operators.
• Troubleshoot CNC equipment and processes to minimize interruptions and sustain throughput.
• Develop, modify, and prove out CNC programs for multi‑axis machines.
• Apply tooling knowledge to improve cycle times, tool life, and performance.
• Provide manufacturability feedback to engineering and drafting teams.
