Job summary

Saige Partners in Waukesha, WI, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive bronze foundry and CNC machining improvements. You will optimize processes, cycle times, and layouts while supporting new product introductions from prototype to production.

The role requires hands-on floor work, cross-functional collaboration, and a track record in Lean manufacturing and problem solving. Strong SolidWorks/ERP experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in machining, metalworking, casting, or similar.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and drafting; SolidWorks preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and implement efficient, repeatable manufacturing processes for bronze and alloy components.
• Develop and improve machine cycle times, layouts, tooling, and production methods.
• Design, test, and implement new foundry dies using SolidWorks.
• Provide hands-on engineering support for CNC turning and troubleshoot first-article parts.
• Lead NPI activities from prototype to full-scale production.
• Support changes ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 6S, Value Stream Mapping).
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, downtime, setup times.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
