Job summary

Silgan Plastics Corporation in Indiana is seeking a technically skilled professional to improve the efficiency of blow molding machinery. You will participate in rebuilding, upgrading, and streamlining systems, and support the engineering team with layouts and troubleshooting.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical abilities, the ability to read schematics and drawings, and familiarity with AutoCAD and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct capital projects and machine rebuild.
• Assist with installation, replacement, or repair of electrical and mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems after installation.
• Read and develop engineering drawings and electrical schematics to diagnose issues.
• Train maintenance staff on new systems and equipment.
• Communicate progress of projects to plant team with supporting documents.
