Job summary

Silgan Plastics Corporation in Kentucky is seeking a motivated Maintenance Helper to support the maintenance team during downtime and planned maintenance. You will assist with housekeeping around machines, take readings and measurements, operate the blow molder and downstream components, and help with changeovers while upholding safety standards.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 pounds, follow written procedures, and participate in safety training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously.
• Able to perform repetitive lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.
• Willingness to complete operator training and safety courses.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance during downtime and planned maintenance.
• Take readings and measurements on bottles and related processes.
• Run the blow molder and all downstream components.
• Assist with changeovers and mold cleaning.
• Inspect for unsafe acts and maintain safety standards in the area.
