Job summary

KLA Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at our Savannah, GA area plant to plan and design manufacturing processes and improve efficiency. The role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will involve equipment layouts, workflow optimization, and tooling selection to meet product specs.

The ideal candidate has a BA in engineering, hands-on experience with SolidWorks, tooling, automation, robotics, and PLCs, plus a proven track record in heavy manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Proficient with 3D modeling (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office
• Tooling experience required
• Project management experience required
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs
• Manufacturing engineer experience in heavy manufacturing
• Experience with die casting, stamping, finishing or plating is preferred
• Foundry experience preferred
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D/3D software (SolidWorks)
• Implement productivity improvements on current lines
• Perform root cause analysis using statistical methods
• Design and implement production process for new products
• Perform FMEAs on new and existing products
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing
• Participate in cross-functional teams for productivity
• Lead design of experiments, lean tools, ROIA
• Lead design review meetings for new and existing products
• Create work instructions, statements of work, inventories
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration
