Job summary

FIC America Corp. in Carol Stream, IL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with 2+ years of experience to optimize automated welding and stamping operations.

You will design machinery layouts, analyze cycle times, and collaborate with production, vendors, and contractors to implement improvements. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, communicate effectively, and be willing to cross-train and perform overtime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar Manufacturing/Engineering role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar program.
• Must have proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to cross-train and work overtime as required.
• Must comply with attendance and punctuality policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee automated equipment and processes including welding and stamping.
• Prepare design sketches and CAD blueprints of machinery, fixtures, and layouts.
• Analyze lead times, takt times, and cycle times to optimize production.
• Coordinate with production personnel, vendors, and contractors on process improvements.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance (LOTO, arc flash, TS requirements).
