Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in the United States seeks an engineering professional to develop standard work for key manufacturing processes, lead improvement initiatives, and design automation solutions that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will present data to management and train teams on best practices across plant operations. Qualified candidates have a mechanical/industrial/aerospace background, PLC/Ladder logic experience, and 2+ years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC/Ladder logic and related control systems.
• Equivalent hands-on experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop standard work for critical shop floor processes and systems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events.
• Develop data and present findings to management to enable improvements.
• Identify and train on best practices to ensure safety and quality.
• Develop automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Support operations in setting goals and measuring plant performance KPIs.
• Assist in waste elimination, quality improvements, and efficiency gains.
• Facilitate project identification and tracking to measure improvements.
