Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an engineer to develop standard work on critical shop floor processes and to lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events. You will also develop automation solutions and support the operations team in tracking safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Industrial/Aerospace engineering and at least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with PLC/Ladder logic knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (internships allowed).
• PLC and Ladder logic knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop standard work for critical shop floor processes and systems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and run small scale Kaizen events.
• Develop automation solutions to manufacturing processes.
• Support operations team in setting goals and measuring key plant performance indicators.
