Job summary

Voltava is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Michigan to design and launch efficient assembly processes for new and existing programs. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, PC&L, customers, and suppliers to introduce new equipment, tooling, automation, and processes from concept through production.

You will drive continuous improvement, apply lessons learned, support APQP activities, and ensure processes meet engineering, quality, safety, and performance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience, preferably automotive.
• 2+ years APQP experience supporting launches and process development.
• Strong knowledge of assembly processes, tooling, equipment, automation, and systems.
• Experience with equipment installation, certification, run-off, and production launch.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, GD&T, and error-proofing.
• IATF quality requirements and safe manufacturing practices understanding.
• Experience with equipment sourcing, RFQs, and purchase orders.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
