Job summary

Moog is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer at the Chatsworth, CA site. You will assess current manufacturing capabilities, develop production strategies, and implement capacity upgrades while transferring tools to Operations with safety and quality in mind.

You will lead automation projects, support lean initiatives, and ensure ECNs are executed smoothly; collaborate with customers on requirements and develop documentation for processes and products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a manufacturing-related field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Design of Experiments and statistical methods preferred.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve production issues and customer field concerns quickly and effectively.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements.
• Design and optimize tooling, fixtures, and equipment for assembly, testing, and repair operations.
• Support Lean manufacturing efforts including Kaizen and Gemba activities.
• Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure timely implementation.
• Provide hands-on engineering support and training to production teams.
• Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation and reports.
• Execute IQ/OQ/PQ for new product transfers and process changes.
• Collaborate with customers on project requirements and development updates.
• Establish preventive maintenance and calibration programs for production equipment.
• Investigate nonconforming materials and manage corrective actions (CAPAs).
• Oversee CAPEX projects, budgeting, and reporting.
• Present project updates to local and corporate leadership and drive lean culture.
