Job summary

Moog Inc in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead production programs for hydraulic and electromechanical actuators. You will manage product delivery through the lifecycle, including proposal support, kick-off, design reviews, qualification, and production, with a 9/80 onsite work option.

You will collaborate with an engineering team, support customers and sales, and prepare cost estimates and technical volumes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Math, Science, Technology)
• 5+ years of professional experience in design/development Engineering
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Experience in the design, analysis, and development of complex electrohydraulic or electromechanical actuators
• Experience in EVMS fundamentals, project planning, scheduling and resource loading; experience with MS Project

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses
• Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume writeups
• Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals
• Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports
