Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in automation and controls to optimize production processes in a Columbus, Indiana facility. The role focuses on improving efficiency, supporting equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and 5+ years of experience, plus hands-on PLC and control system expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of robotics, vision systems, and motion control.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methods.

Responsibilities

Design and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, tooling, and control systems.
Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networks.
Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and validation projects.
Analyze production data to improve cycle time, yield, uptime, and process capability.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and work instructions.
Provide hands-on technical support for manufacturing equipment and control systems.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process and equipment issues.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives.
