Job summary

LeoForce in Columbus, IN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong automation and controls background to optimize production processes. You will design improvements, program and troubleshoot PLCs/HMI systems, and lead continuous improvement projects across the facility.

The role aims to reduce cycle time, improve yield and uptime, and ensure robust documentation. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to implement advanced automation and sustain high-quality output.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with sensors, drives, actuators, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in automotive and/or aerospace and/or health manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of robotics, vision systems, and motion control.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives

Job Details

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in automation and controls to support and optimize production processes. This role will focus on improving manufacturing efficiency, supporting equipment, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
