Applied Research Associates, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to support, build, optimize, and sustain production capability in the PMI Division on-site in Madison, AL.

You will translate designs into delivered products, govern processes and tooling, and drive operational excellence with management and shop-floor teams. The role emphasizes DFM, process mapping, PFMEA, lean methods, SOLIDWORKS tooling, and workflow documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in a DoD manufacturing field or an Associate's with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and CAD tools, and ability to develop tooling and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Improve production processes and develop tooling using CAD software.
• Create clear work instructions and cost‑effective manufacturing solutions.
• Own and govern the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM) and the Bill of Process throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop CONOPs, production workflows, and production documentation.
