Ready to optimize cycle times, implement 5S, and drive lean manufacturing initiatives across the production floor?

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Lead Manufacturing Engineer will spearhead process optimization initiatives for both new and existing product designs, with emphasis on cycle time reduction, tooling improvements, and yield optimization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the manufacturing engineering team in implementing DFM principles, designing fixtures, and optimizing CNC toolpaths
• Develop comprehensive manufacturing process documentation including work instructions, setup sheets, and preventive maintenance protocols
• Drive implementation of SPC methodologies to monitor process capability (Cpk) and reduce part-to-part variation
• Execute PFMEA analyses to identify potential failure modes and implement effective process controls
• Analyze production metrics including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and first-pass yield to identify bottlenecks and implement countermeasures
• Ensure GD&T principles are properly applied from design to production floor implementation
• Oversee CNC programming optimization to reduce cycle times while maintaining tolerances and surface finish requirements

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering leadership roles
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
