GE Aerospace is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support forming, welding, brazing, heat treat, and machining of sheet metal parts for jet engines on Plant 2. You will work closely with operators, quality, and senior engineers to keep parts flowing and reduce defects.
The role involves interpreting drawings, improving process documentation, and applying lean practices to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
In this role you will support the manufacturing processes that turn formed sheet metal into flight-critical hardware: forming, resistance and TIG welding, brazing, heat treat, and machining. You'll work directly with operators, quality, and senior engineers on the shop floor to keep parts flowing, solve process problems, and prevent defects from escaping. You'll follow standard work and established procedures, but you can reorder your priorities as production needs change. Your work directly affects product quality, delivery, and the success of the team around you. Plant 2 makes sheet metal fabricated parts for jet engines. Its main product line is combustors, and it also builds fuel nozzles and parts.
