$95,000–$105,000 base salary (DOE) + Benefits

We are partnering with a growing, custom manufacturing company looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to its team. This is a high-impact, floor-focused role supporting operations, engineering, and production teams. Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in a job shop or custom fabrication environment, with a proven ability to implement new equipment, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement from the ground up.

The Right Fit Has...

  • 5–8 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Job shop or low-volume/high-mix background strongly preferred
  • Ability to independently evaluate and implement capital equipment — from selection to install and start-up
  • Tooling and fixture design experience using AutoCAD/SolidWorks
  • Strong communicator who can lead projects cross-functionally and build trust on the shop floor
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience is valued

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across production, quality, and safety
  • Evaluate and improve fabrication, assembly, and tooling methods
  • Manage and implement capital equipment projects, including layout and commissioning
  • Provide floor-level production support, real-time problem-solving, and technical guidance
  • Develop work instructions, tooling drawings, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Contribute to risk assessments, equipment upgrades, and safety enhancements
  • Apply Lean tools (6S, SMED, TPM, visual management, etc.) to streamline operations
  • Support lab equipment oversight and assist with ISO/AS quality systems
  • Occasional travel (10–15%) for vendor visits, training, or implementation
  • CNC programming exposure
  • PLC troubleshooting or familiarity
  • ISO/AS9100/TS16949 systems knowledge
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes

This role is ideal for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who wants variety in their day, visibility within the company, and direct ownership of impactful projects. If you’ve helped stand up equipment, improve shop flow, and solve problems in real-time, this is your kind of role.
