Job description

Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL

Job ID: #70945

Pay Range: $25-40

Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D model data to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions. Utilizes understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences that drive operational excellence. Evaluates equipment and tool performance, investigates issues, and initiates corrective actions to ensure operational excellence. Uses factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Analyzing and interpreting electrical, electromechanical, and cable schematics during development and production stages.
  2. Updating and creating assembly work instructions based on drawings and models.
  3. Publishing work instructions for use on the production floor.
  4. Maintaining tool lists required for efficient assembly.
  5. Investigating technical problems and supporting manufacturing operators.
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  7. Supporting lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  8. Providing input to product design regarding concepts and specifications.
  9. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts on manufacturing improvements.
  10. Adhering to existing manufacturing processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to analyze electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Attention to detail for electrical and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple programs.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with SAP or related manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing concepts.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and process improvements.
  • Exposure to Electrical Engineering and familiarity with Zuken is a plus.
