Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services is seeking a manufacturing method specialist to develop, evaluate, and improve industrial manufacturing methods, leveraging Lean principles and knowledge of design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment.

You will lead projects, analyze workflow, plan resources, coordinate with vendors, and ensure health and safety reviews, with travel as needed. A manufacturing engineering degree is preferred; compensation up to six figures may apply.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient level in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Experience with repetitive and build-to-suit manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience managing large and complex projects using industry tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a high competency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical thinker.

  • Confers with vendors to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.
  • Project manages all technical upgrades, equipment installation, tooling design and implementation.
  • Aligns with the appropriate personnel in contract reviews for significant projects.
  • Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards. Gather data to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing procedures.
  • Ensures successful completion of health and safety reviews for new and altered equipment.
  • Participates in travel as appropriate for business needs.
