Hello, Chicago! thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused outside sales professional to drive revenue growth across a defined territory from Chicago to Champaign and Northwest Indiana.

You will identify opportunities, build relationships and present engineered plastic solutions to diverse industries. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of outside sales experience, CRM proficiency, and a safety mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Candidates must live within 30-45 miles of the outlined territory.
  • Schedule and perform sales calls/visits.
  • Determine key buying influences and establish relationships.
  • Develop a market plan with measurable goals and objectives.
  • Conduct training sessions on products and services for customers and staff.
  • Follow the transaction pricing and report significant occurrences and trends to management.
  • Communicate customer product/quality requirements to inside sales and operations.
  • Estimate customer usage of products and participation by the business unit.
  • Assist inside sales on special accounts/projects.
  • Provide assistance to credit managers as required.
  • Recommend additions/deletions to product catalogue and services.
  • Initiate and monitor E-item inventory requirements.
  • Provide recommendations regarding advertising.
  • Continually increase knowledge of company products, services and procedures.
  • Maintain and update customer database.
  • Daily downloading/review/follow up of quotes.
  • Daily review of daily sales and order reviews.
  • This position works around motor vehicle equipment.

Job Compensation

$62,000 - $82,000 (based on candidate experience) + Monthly Incentive Compensation
