Job summary

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA in Bloomington, MN is seeking a seasoned Lean Manufacturing specialist to develop and optimize industrial manufacturing methods across metal fabrication. The role focuses on improving efficiency, evaluating processes and coordinating large projects.

You will lead cross-functional teams, plan layouts, estimate staffing and costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in Lean Manufacturing.
  • Proficient in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Experience with repetitive and build-to-suit manufacturing.
  • Experience managing large and complex projects using industry tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Uses Lean principles to improve manufacturing efficiencies and drive for continual improvement.
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Confers with vendors to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.
  • Project manages all technical upgrades, equipment installation, tooling design and implementation.
  • Aligns with the appropriate personnel in contract reviews for significant projects.
  • Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards. Gather data to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing procedures.
  • Ensures successful completion of health and safety reviews for new and altered equipment.
  • Participates in travel as appropriate for business needs.

Job Profile Summary

Job Compensation

Up to $124K Annually
