Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Mesa, AZ to develop and drive quality-focused manufacturing systems for harness production. You will create work instructions, solve production and design issues, and lead the introduction of new products to production.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, at least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field is preferred.
• 2+ years Manufacturing Engineering experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Develops processes for efficient production of cable and wire harnesses.
• Creates and maintains work instructions to optimize manufacturability.
• Solves production and customer design issues and recommends solutions.
• Leads efforts to implement new products into production.
• Designs tools and fixtures for manufacturing.
• Assesses and justifies new equipment purchases.
• Manages process changes and documentation updates.
• Interprets drawings and BOMs and audits for accuracy.
• Provides expert technical support to production teams.
• Supports Purchasing, Quality, Test and Production departments to ensure product integrity.

Job description

The Manufacturing Engineeris responsible fordeveloping and drivingquality-focused manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment for the production of new and existing wire and cable harnesses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops processes for the efficient production of cable and wire harnesses
• Creates and maintains work instructions to optimize manufacturability
• Problem solves and recommends solutions for internal production issues and customer design issues
• Leads engineering efforts to implement new products into production
• Designs and implements tools and fixtures required for effective manufacturing
• Investigates, recommends, justifies, and implements new equipment purchases
• Manages process and documentation changes as required by internal and customer-driven engineering changes
• Interprets drawing packages and internal BOMS, and audits for accuracy
• Provides expert technical support to production teams
• Supports Purchasing, Quality, Test and Production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements

• BS in Engineering or related field, preferred
• Minimum 2 years Manufacturing Engineering experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite
• Experience with Lean manufacturing
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
