Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Mesa, AZ to develop and drive quality-focused systems for harness production. You will create efficient processes, write work instructions, and tackle production and design issues to ensure manufacturability and product integrity.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (preferred), 2+ years in manufacturing engineering, strong communication, and proficiency with Lean manufacturing and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develops processes for efficient production of cable and wire harnesses.

• Leads engineering efforts to implement new products into production.

• Manages process and documentation changes from engineering changes.
• Interprets drawings and audits BOMs for accuracy.
• Provides expert technical support to production teams.
• Supports Purchasing, Quality, Test and Production departments to ensure product integrity.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and driving quality-focused manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment for the production of new and existing wire and cable harnesses.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develops processes for the efficient production of cable and wire harnesses
• Creates and maintains work instructions to optimize manufacturability
• Problem solves and recommends solutions for internal production issues and customer design issues
• Leads engineering efforts to implement new products into production
• Designs and implements tools and fixtures required for effective manufacturing
• Investigates, recommends, justifies, and implements new equipment purchases
• Manages process and documentation changes as required by internal and customer-driven engineering changes
• Interprets drawing packages and internal BOMS, and audits for accuracy
• Provides expert technical support to production teams
• Supports Purchasing, Quality, Test and Production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager
