Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a manufacturing engineer to define and control production processes, tooling, and equipment. You will support new product introductions from design through production and drive continuous improvements for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Collaborating with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams, you will use data-driven methods to solve problems, provide guidance to operators, and maintain precise manufacturing documentation including work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; or high school diploma with 6+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.
  • Support new product , tool , and equipment implementation from design through production.
  • Drive process improvements to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Work with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to meet business goals.
  • Use technical knowledge and data to solve production and process problems.
  • Lead or support projects that improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Follow established procedures while exercising sound judgment on day-to-day decisions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and operators.
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, quality records, FMEAs, and electronic manufacturing systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience))
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desired Characteristics
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
