GE HealthCare located at the State College site is seeking a manufacturing engineering support specialist to assist engineers in designing, maintaining, and improving diagnostic ultrasound transducer production processes and tooling. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant documentation and sustained equipment readiness.
The role emphasizes fault analysis, lifecycle management, and process improvements in a high-mix, low-volume regulated manufacturing setting to support
Under limited supervision, supports engineers in the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment. Partners with engineering teams to support tooling release activities, preventive maintenance programs, and manufacturing documentation. Collaborates with internal and international teams on product, process, tooling, and troubleshooting initiatives. Provides analytical support through fault analysis, dissection, cross-sectioning, and measurement of defective products. Supports engineering changes, tooling and process modifications, and documentation updates while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. At our State College site, teams design, manufacture, and service diagnostic medical ultrasound transducers (probes) used across a wide range of clinical applications including surgery, urology, cardiology, and radiology. As a high-mix, low-volume, regulated manufacturing environment, the site combines advanced engineering, precision manufacturing, and lifecycle support to deliver critical imaging technology that enables clinicians to make real-time decisions in patient care.
