Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a production team lead to guide frontline manufacturing associates, ensuring adherence to Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing standards. This role involves supervision, planning, execution, analytics, and application of Lean principles to deliver reliability and consistency across the manufacturing process.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to act independently using good judgement and discretion.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite, and standard ERP systems.
  • Medical Device manufacturing experience #LI-VS1

  • Lead Compliance and Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals.
  • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees.
  • Typically managing hourly employee populations.
  • This includes hiring, employee development, and discipline responsibilities, as well as time and attendance.
  • Monitor and improve productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, and cost-conscious manner while meeting quality standards.
  • Drive LEAN manufacturing implementation and sustain/improve efforts.
  • Work with other managers throughout manufacturing to generate continuous improvement ideas and spearhead the implementation of those ideas that lead to bottom line results.
  • Track and report metrics in their functional area to include labor hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, and capacity.
  • Establish team goals that meet or exceed established quality standards.
  • Area training ownership.
  • Develop and create training plans to maximize workforce capability and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other PTLs to ensure alignment of functional area across manufacturing.

Job Description Summary This role leads a team of production associates ensuring adherence to Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing standards. Responsibilities include supervision, planning, execution, analytics, and application of Lean principles. This position is a critical cross-functional partner delivering reliability and consistency throughout the manufacturing process. This role executes within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices, procedures, and guidance while utilizing judgement to achieve optimal outcomes and improvements.
