Job Description

Allen Organ Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position reports to the Vice President of Production. The Manufacturing Engineer will bridge the gap between manufacturing processes and our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and will also be responsible for our safety program and environmental compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design, maintain, and improve manufacturing systems and processes, collaborating with Manufacturing/Purchasing/Production to resolve production issues.
2. Ensure efficient data flow between manufacturing processes and ERP system, optimize production planning, and manage system configurations, including BOMs, routings, and item masters, working closely with engineering and production teams.
3. Create and maintain ECOs, DCRs, AMERs, SOPs, Work Instructions, and New Parts Forms.
4. Manage controlled documents within the manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation throughout production.
5. Implement safety procedures to minimize risks, conduct safety audits, investigations, and training, and promote a safe work environment.
6. Oversee and manage environmental compliance, conduct audits, develop sustainability practices, and report environmental data to relevant agencies.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, standards, and efficiency tools; process-oriented.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or related field is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience with ERP systems, including editing BOMs and creating labor plans.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, FASTCAD, or related programs is a plus.
