Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for an EDI Production Support Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package. Please note we are unable to provide sponsorship or work c2c for this role.

Responsible for supporting inbound/outbound claims, encounters, and enrollment data using various data sources in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high customer support expectations. Works closely with business users and IT teams to identify application development solutions, modify or reuse existing code, or integrate purchased solutions. Provides analysis of business needs, documents requirements, and translates them into system specifications. Devise and modify procedures, and consult with delivery teams to solve complex problems considering system capacities and desired outcomes. Has full technical knowledge of systems analysis and considers business implications of technology applications. The role also involves leadership, mentoring, and skill development.

  • Operates in an environment with rapidly changing requirements and priorities.
  • Manages workload of support activities, utilizing automation to improve response times.
  • Ensures SLA adherence for scheduled jobs by the team and vendors.
  • Provides support during operational hours and emergency after-hours situations.
  • Performs monitoring, ticket triage, issue analysis, and resolution.
  • Gathers requirements, designs, develops, and tests solutions.
  • Designs and develops code updates to fix defects.
  • Exhibits strong analytical skills.
  • Owns escalated outages from end to end as a technical lead.
  • Coaches team members on system structure and constraints.
  • Manages application support tasks including upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and auditing.
  • Removes obstacles to enable team productivity and escalates issues appropriately.
  • Incorporates technical debt remediation into workload without management directives.
  • Participates in portfolio projects from a support perspective while meeting deadlines.
  • Identifies future issues, presents solutions, and implements preventative measures.
  • Prepares and communicates with stakeholders effectively.
  • Acts as team lead in the manager's absence.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude, passion, collaboration, and excellent communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with version control tools like GIT.
  • Process-oriented with adaptability.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of diverse IT experience.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare (Medicare/Medicaid, Claims, Providers, Members).
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS, Microsoft Office, SQL Server, SSIS, Edifecs, and EDI Healthcare.
