Join us as a Manufacturing Engineer at GRUNDFOS

Peerless Pump, an Indianapolis-based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer (machining processes) to join its Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team. This role involves providing manufacturing engineering support for Production, Engineering, and Quality through modern equipment and practices. You will lead process improvement activities and large-scale capital projects. The position reports to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is based at the Indianapolis facility (Monday to Friday).

Note: Relocation assistance is not available, and candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

Key Responsibilities

• Recommend specifications and designs; lead start-up, training, and commissioning of equipment.
• Lead large-scale manufacturing projects, coordinating across departments.
• Develop and maintain control instructions, work instructions, and control plans.
• Source new equipment and technology vendors.
• Propose and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Develop proposals for capital investments.
• Research and recommend process improvements to management.
• Monitor operations to identify and resolve issues proactively.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic technologies.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, G&M code programming, and process planning.
• Proven project leadership skills.
• Experience in tool design, fabrication, troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Robotics, PLCs, Lean Manufacturing, and machining processes.
• Project management experience required.
• SAP experience is a plus.
