We are Proud to be SJE! SJE Inc. in Detroit Lakes, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Rhombus brand and improve production processes.

You will collaborate with engineering to transfer products, integrate new items, and upgrade work instructions, using Lean methods to boost efficiency. Requirements include a 4-year degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering and 1–2 years of related experience; travel to other locations is expected as project needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to support product transfers to the best manufacturing location.
• Assist with integrating new products and product modifications into production; upgrade work instructions and routings.
• Devise, implement and continuously improve manufacturing processes using Lean principles to reduce waste and improve shop floor efficiencies.
• Support the Maintenance team with technical troubleshooting and machinery upgrades.

The job:

As our Manufacturing Engineer, your primary role will be to collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to support product transfers to the best manufacturing location. You will assist with integrating new products and product modifications into production as well as upgrading work instructions and routings. You will devise, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes while using Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste, standardize production and improve shop floor efficiencies. You will support the Maintenance team with technical troubleshooting and machinery upgrades.

A 4-year degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent degree and 1-2 years of experience are preferred.
