Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for solving multiple challenges with excellence, efficiency and effectiveness. They will develop these solutions by spending time observing the issue on site, collecting and analyzing relevant information, and leaning on their experience as well as the experience of the team.
The Manufacturing Engineer is a fully onsite role in Columbus, Ohio. Remote work is not available.

Thorough understanding of safety processes as they apply to manufacturing
Reduce waste in the manufacturing process
Establish and maintain business standards such as Machine Programs and Fixture and Tooling Management
Lead engineering support to Operation by improving safety, quality, and efficiency
Installation of large equipment packages, conducting successful and detail-oriented runoffs
Works cross-functionally to identify problems and recommend solutions
Improve processes to increase throughput and reduce change over times
Manages multiple and shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
Able to distill large volumes of data into actionable business strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
2+ years of world class manufacturing experience in a high volume metal fabrication environment is preferred
2+ years as a manufacturing process owner is preferred
Experience as a Laser cutting or Machining process owner is a plus
Demonstrated ability to create value by thorough understanding of process interdependencies
Experience with purchasing capital equipment and supporting production start-up is required
Experience with automation of manufacturing processes
Experience with Engineering Change Management
Must have lean training and the ability to utilize lean tools in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of quality systems and process controls
Data driven and analytical. Finding solutions by understanding data and being detail oriented
Must have a ‘hands on’ mentality and the ability to work well with production team members
