Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead plant operations, launch new products, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. You will work with engineering and design teams to optimize tooling, facilities, and workflow while maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience and a strong background in lean methodologies such as Kaizen and value streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and Kaizen is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Launches new products into manufacturing.

• Troubleshoots manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ensures cycle time and process time commitments are met.
• Participates in lean initiatives such as Kaizen events and value streams.

• Oversees multiple projects to ensure on-time, under-budget completion.
• Collaborates with internal and external engineering and design teams.
• Assists in safety and problem-solving activities.

This position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production and other production-related activities. Plant Manager reports directly to the President/CEO and is part of the Management Team.

SUMMARY

• Launches new products into manufacturing.
• Consistently searches for ways to improve processes, efficiencies, and product quality.
• Troubleshoots manufacturing process and equipment.
• Ensures program commitments for cycle time and process time are achieved.
• Participates in lean manufacturing methodologies such as Kaizen events and value steams.
• Develops Manufacturing Plans
• Standard Work Project; Tooling / Facilities Equipment Capacity; Develop Tooling and Operations Concepts; Generate Tool Specifications; Value Stream Flow Facility Floor Planning; Consumable Materials; Product Handling/ Flow
• Oversees all aspects of multiple projects insuring on-time and under budget project completion.
• Reviews plans, specifications and special provisions.
• Works directly with internal and external engineering and design teams for the design and manufacture of products.
• Provides representation at project meetings, attendance at pre-manufacturing, pre-fabrication and manufacturing meetings.
• Assists in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Recommends removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire product.
• Occasional travel for business purposes may be required.
• Understanding and experience with safety required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing
