Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, prototype development, or technical laboratory environments.
  • 3+ years of experience using fabrication tools and manufacturing equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience fabricating, modifying, and assembling complex hardware.
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and testing electromechanical systems or equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC and manual machining equipment, including mills and lathes.
  • 3+ years of experience using HAAS mills, 4-axis machining, 5-axis machining, or similar CNC equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience using SolidWorks, CAM software, or similar manufacturing design tools.
  • 3+ years of experience applying GD&T principles and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • 3+ years of experience using precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and related inspection tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support design, fabrication, assembly, modification, testing, and checkout of prototype electromechanical systems.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze results, and document findings for process improvements.
  • Design and construct tooling, fixtures, and test equipment for projects.
  • Analyze technical data, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to support prototype and production efforts.

Job Title: Advanced Engineering Technician
Employment Type: Contract-to-direct hire
Compensation: $34.78/ hour
About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an Advanced Engineering Technician to support the development, testing, fabrication, and modification of advanced electromechanical systems and specialized engineering equipment. Working alongside Engineering and Operations teams, you'll play a hands-on role in building prototypes, troubleshooting complex systems, conducting experiments, and driving process improvements that support mission-critical technologies.

What You'll Do:
  • Support engineering activities including design, fabrication, assembly, modification, testing, and checkout of prototype electromechanical systems and specialized equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems.
