Job summary

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Athens team!

Responsibilities:
  1. Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and improve manufacturing processes and products.
  2. Investigate and resolve issues related to tooling, equipment, and processes.
  3. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow; design equipment and workspace layouts for efficiency.
  4. Develop, recommend, and implement process and product quality improvements.
  5. Assist in developing capital and expense budgets.
  6. Evaluate new products for manufacturing feasibility and make recommendations.
  7. Ensure compliance with Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
  8. Train personnel in safety, setup, operations, and troubleshooting.
  9. Estimate production rates, setup, and tooling costs for inquiries and new parts.
  10. Specialize in skills such as PLC programming, welding, automation, or vision systems if applicable.
  11. Exercise authority within the scope as delegated by the Manager.
  12. Promote safety and report any non-conformance activities.
  13. Support team and ensure customer requirements are met.
  14. Handle/store hazardous waste per regulations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or 5+ years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

CQI-12 Coating: Minimum 5 years experience in surface finishing operations or related education and experience.

CQI-15 Welding: On-site qualified welding expert, either a degreed Welding Engineer, Certified Welding Inspector, or with 5+ years welding experience.

CQI-30 Mix and Molding: Knowledge of rubber mixing and molding processes with at least 5 years of industry experience.

Experience:

Relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial, electrical, or mechanical fields, preferably in high-speed environments. Experience with disabilities accommodations and employment equality are valued.
